TECHNOLOGY
Grand Cherokee

The Jeep Grand Cherokee and the GMC Acadia are perfect for families thanks to their spacious cabins. However, these SUVs are perfect for drivers like you because of their driver-centric cockpits and innovative technologies.

Innovative Command Center

Think of your Grand Cherokee as an entertainment mecca. It boasts an available deluxe McIntosh® Sound System that stations 19 speakers around your car.

By your side, the front-row passenger can take over the main controls with their own optional passenger screen. For practical purposes, such as getting road directions, go to the available Uconnect® 5 touchscreen located up front that extends to 10.1 inches.

Although the available GMC Infotainment System with Navigation spans eight inches, that’s the only screen that comes close to the Jeep’s offerings. The optional Bose® premium sound system offers a mere eight speakers that may not disperse the sounds you love as effectively.

Information From All Angles

Want to be informed about what’s behind you? The Grand Cherokee’s and the Acadia’s available Digital Rearview Mirror can lend a watchful eye. What about keeping up with all that’s in front of you? Well, both SUVs feature available head-up displays that project various information, such as:

  • Current speed
  • Navigation
  • Incoming calls
  • Safety alerts
  • Music

However, what sets them apart is size. The Grand Cherokee’s full-color Head-Up Display is 10 inches, while the Acadia’s is six inches. So, you’ll be able to view your information in crisp, clear quality in the Jeep.

SAFETY
Jeep Grand Cherokee

Whether you’ve got your pups, your whole family, or your best friends on board, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the GMC Acadia are dedicated to helping keep everyone safe. Their standard driver-assistance features provide peace of mind and help prepare you for the unknown.

Your Security Detail

Both the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the GMC Acadia equip standard safety suites to instill confidence in drivers. In fact, you’ll find similar driver-assistance aids on either model, including:

  • Active Lane Management System
  • Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and Pedestrian/Cyclist Detection
  • Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection

The Grand Cherokee wants to make you feel confident in all road situations, which is why it has a few available features that the GMC goes without. These features are available Intersection Collision Assist and available Night Vision.

Parking Made Easy

With systems like standard ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, you’ll have your own navigator aboard the Grand Cherokee. You’ll be alerted to obstacles standing in your way and can easily glide into a tough spot instead of driving around while looking for an easier spot.

You’re not totally on your own in the Acadia when it comes to parking. Front and Rear Park Assist comes standard and provides warnings when you’re trying to park. Still, you won’t find the high-level parking system that steers itself like the one in the Jeep.

PERFORMANCE
Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep and the GMC are versatile vessels. They can perform as daily drivers or exciting adventure companions. No matter which activity is planned, these vehicles will help put pep in your step and help you bring along sizeable equipment.

The Drive You Desire

The Jeep Grand Cherokee can be equipped with one of three engines, while the GMC falls behind with just two available engine configurations. Both SUVs exhibit robust power and drive; however, with more available powertrains, the Grand Cherokee can help satisfy the performance you crave.

Bring Along Your Toys

The standard Grand Cherokee 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine will tow a maximum of 6,200 pounds when properly equipped. It elevates the towing capabilities with the available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine. This engine will tow up to 7,200 pounds when properly configured.

Even with a similar, albeit available, 3.6L V6 engine in the Acadia, it can only tow a maximum of 4,000 pounds when properly equipped. So, if you need a greater towing capacity than that, you may have to pass on the GMC.
