2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review
Well-Crafted Space
Want to see the well-crafted interior of the Grand Cherokee? It fits five passengers with 105 cubic feet of generous passenger volume. In the back, you’ll see 36.3 cubic feet of trunk space to start and 68.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo volume with the rear seats down.
Let’s go over the dimensions you’ll get.
Dimensions | Front Seat | Rear Seat |
Headroom | 39.9 inches | 39.2 inches |
Hip Room | 57 inches | 56.2 inches |
Legroom | 40.3 inches | 38.6 inches |
Shoulder Room | 58.7 inches | 58 inches |
Throughout the cabin, you can spread out with the many available amenities that can be included in your SUV. A Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control system comes standard for an end to temperature wars.
You can also add heated and ventilated front seats, plus heat in the second row. If you like available leather seating, you’ll also want the heated steering wheel to go with it.
So you can concentrate on your driving and not your seat, the Grand Cherokee gives you an available 8-way power driver’s seat with memory settings.
Grand Cherokee Technology
Use your voice with the optional integrated Voice Command and your Grand Cherokee listens. Operate your Bluetooth® and your 8.4-inch Uconnect® 4C NAV touchscreen upgrade with simple requests. This may involve making or answering phone calls or updating directions. With Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, you can do more with your collected phone apps.
For your entertainment, upgrade to the Harman Kardon® Premium Audio System. It features a 10-inch subwoofer to amp up the bass and 19 speakers to envelop yourself in music. To keep kids or adults in the back occupied, the available Blu-Ray™ Rear Entertainment System saves the day.
Extra Safety and Security
While you’re listening to your favorite tunes, it’s expected that you may get distracted. Jeep understands, so they put a bunch of standard safety packages together for some extra security. The starter package, the ProTech I package, contains Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection and the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera.
Exclusive to the Laredo and Laredo X trims, the ProTech II package features Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Advanced Brake Assist, and LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning. You can also add Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go or Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist to many trims.
Multi-Mode Performance
With multiple engine choices, the Grand Cherokee caters to a range of Michigan drivers. The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine produces 295 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. You can tow up to 6,200 pounds with this engine in place and when properly equipped. It also achieves an EPA-estimated 19 city/26 highway MPG.
Starting with the available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine, you can tow a maximum of 7,200 pounds when properly equipped. This also goes for the 6.4L SRT® V8 engine. If you get the optional Supercharged 6.2L V8 engine, it produces 707 horsepower with 645 lb-ft of torque for superhero power.
For ways to conquer any road, the 8-speed automatic transmission paired with the available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System helps you manage any condition. Driving modes include Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, and Tow.
